MAC OPTION FOR ACCESSING MLXCHANGE (August 15, 2011) Corelogic MarketLinx has a Mac option called IDS (Information Delivery System). IDS is a server-based solution that allows Mac users to access programs that require running on a Windows computer. Once logged into the IDS application, you will be able to access MLXchange from an icon specifically for the site that you use every day. To learn more, in MLXchange, click on Help and then Documents. You will see a link to IDS FAQs and IDS Install Guide.
Previously, we noted on the MLXchange Message of the Day, that the IDS Mac client is not currently compatible with the Apple release of Lion (Mac OS X 10.7). On August 8, the IDS Mac client compatibility fix for Apple release of OS X Lion 10.7 was installed. New IDS users will be able to proceed as a new install without following steps below. Existing IDS users who use Mac OS X Lion will need to do the following to receive the fix:
- Navigate to http://ids.marketlinx.com/nativemac.html from their default browser on the Mac.
- Install the IDS Links program over top of the current installation (uninstall is not needed first).
- Launch the IDS icon to access the application.
MLXCHANGE NOW SUPPORTS UP TO 25 PHOTOS (July 18, 2011) Effective immediately, MLXchange will now allow you to load up to 25 photos of your listing. Take advantage of the extra photos to highlight all of the unique features of your client's home. All 25 photos will be viewable on www.homesteadnet.com.
LISTINGS… WITHDRAWN STATUS VS. EXPIRED STATUS (June 6, 2011) When we switched from Tempo™ to MLXchange™ a year or so ago, several process changes were made to bring GRAR more in line with industry practices. One of these was how GRAR handles a listing that is in 'Withdrawn' status. The industry standard is that if a listing contract is in force, but a homeowner no longer wishes to market his/her home, the listing is put into 'Withdrawn' status. This means that the property cannot be re-listed by another office. Per the contract, when the expiration date arrives, the withdrawn home is no longer under contract, thus it will automatically move to 'Expired' status.
If a broker and a homeowner decide to part ways and terminate the listing contract, the property should immediately be moved to 'Expired' status. The property can then be re-listed by another office if the owner(s) so desires.
With both these processes, the status of the property is an indication of the status of the listing contract. Remember, before the status of a listing is manually changed in the MLS system, a "Change" form must be executed between the listing office and the seller(s), and that no property can be taken 'off market' in the Service without it.
NEW CUSTOMER SINGLE PAGE REPORT ADDED FOR RES IN MLXCHANGE (June 6, 2011) GRAR has come up with a new version of a single page Customer report for Condo/Townhouse listings in MLXchange. The new report is called '1 Pg RES Customer Report *New*' and now appears in the report list as the first report below the yellow highlighted reports when looking at Residential listings.
Remember you can decide which report titles should be in the yellow highlighted part of the report list (the top of the list) for each property type. To do this:
- Log into MLXchange and select Settings at the top right of the page.
- Select Personalize and then select the Edit Favorites link.
- Next to Property Type select the property type that you want to modify your favorite reports.
- Select the reports that you prefer from the list of Available Reports on the left and click the right arrow button to move them to the Favorite Reports list (these will appear highlighted in yellow in your list of reports in a search). You can select up to 6.
- When you have finished selecting your favorite reports, click the Finish button at the bottom right of the page.
