Realtors Charitable Foundation Mission Statement

The mission of the Realtors Charitable Foundation is “to be the collective heart of Rochester’s real estate professionals addressing critical housing needs and creating sustainable communities.”

The REALTORS Charitable Foundation (RCF), a 501(c) (3) charitable organization was established in January, 2001.  Since its inception, RCF has made grants of over $400,000 benefitting 33 not-for-profit organizations, including:

  • Bishop Sheen Ecumenical Housing Foundation (emergency home repair program)
  • Dimitri House
  • Habitat for Humanity of Ontario County (house in Honeoye)
  • Hillside Children’s Center
  • Wilson Commencement Park
  • City of Rochester Fire Department (thousands of smoke detectors)
  • Family Service of Rochester, Inc.
  • Sojourner House
  • East House
  • Corn Hill Neighbors Association,Center for Youth
  • YWCA
  • Mercy Residential Services
  • Ronald McDonald "House Within a Hospital" atop Golisano Children's Hospital


Owning a home gives people a compelling reason to care about the community in which they live. RCF seeks to create wider access to homeownership and real estate, provide education about homeownership, help preserve property and property values, and partner with other agencies and organizations to address housing-related issues.
