History of RCF

The REALTORS® Charitable Foundation (RCF), a 501(c) (3) charitable organization was established in January, 2001. RCF’s Mission  Statement:

Our mission is to give back to the community by providing opportunities for affordable homeownership and addressing critical housing needs.

Since its inception, RCF has made grants of over $750,000 and 35 not-for-profit organizations, including Bishop Sheen Ecumenical Housing Foundation (emergency home repair program); Dimitri House; Habitat for Humanity of Ontario County (house in Honeoye), Hillside Children’s Center, Wilson Commencement Park, The Rochester Fire Department (thousands of smoke detectors distributed), Family Service of Rochester, inc., Sojourner House, East House, Corn Hill Neighbors Association, Center for Youth, YWCA, RAIHN (Rochester Area Interfaith Hospitality Network)/Family Promise, House of Mercy, and the new Ronald McDonald “House Within a Hospital” atop Golisano Children’s Hospital, only the third such facility in the world.

Owning a home gives people a compelling reason to care about the community in which they live. The Foundation seeks to create wider access to home-ownership and real estate, provide education about home-ownership, help preserve property and property values, and partner with other agencies and organizations to address housing-related issues.

REALTORS® GIVING BACK ~ BE A PART OF IT!

The REALTORS® Charitable Foundation (RCF) entered into a partnership with NeighborWorks® Rochester in 2008, adopting a small target area, in support of the Healthy Blocks initiative in the North Winton Village neighborhood. This project involved a significant multi-year commitment of financial resources and GRAR REALTOR®-power! Call 585.341.2125 for more information (to donate time and or money).
