In memory of Fran Henty
Francis "Fran" Henty was a distinguished REALTOR® in the Rochester, New York area, known for his significant contributions to the real estate community. In 1980, he became a member of the Greater Rochester Association of REALTORS® (GRAR), operating his office on Maple Street in Dansville, NY. Fran was known for giving of himself for the betterment of individuals in our community.

Award Description:
Established in 1997 and awarded each year to honor the spirit of former REALTOR® Francis “Fran” Henty. GRAR recognizes an individual who is willing to ‘go that extra mile’ within their real estate careers and personal lives. The Community Service Award recognizes an individual who made significant contributions to enhancing the quality of life in their community through service, volunteerism, and leadership. This award honors those who demonstrate a strong commitment to improving the welfare of others.

Award Criteria:

  • The nominee must show a sustained commitment to community service, evidenced by a history of volunteer work or leadership in community initiatives
  • The nominee should embody the values of integrity, kindness, and respect, serving as a role model for others and encouraging a culture of giving back in their community
  • The nominee should actively engage with community members, organizations, and stakeholders, fostering relationships that strengthen community ties
  • In at least a paragraph, please explain your reasons for nominating this member based on the above criteria. The nominee will be asked to provide additional details on their qualifications to the BEYOND Task Force. Your comments, along with the nominee’s application, will be considered by the BEYOND Task Force and communications will follow.
